About Me
Bangor University, Main Arts Building
My name is David Craggs and I'm a postgraduate student currently taking a Masters by Research in Ecology at Bangor University, Wales. I also completed my Bsc Hons in Zoology at the same University. I've been interested in the natural world ever since I learned to speak so It wasn't hard for me to choose the right degree.
In terms of a career, I'm only starting out but i'd like to get into research as well as science communication. That means writing books, making videos and documentaries and even a blog.

Originally I come from Newcastle Upon Tyne in the North East of England. We're renowned there for our loyal support to our football team, Newcastle United, and it's highest ever goal scorer, Alan Shearer. I am no exception.
In the UK, people from Newcastle are affectionately known  as 'geordies'. We have quite a distinctive accent, which is you can hear from any of thse famous people:
  • Sting (The Police)
  • Ridley Scott (Film Director)
  • Brian Johnson (AC/DC)
  • Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits)
  • Neil Tennant (Pet Shop Boys)
  • Cheryl Cole (Girls Aloud)
  • Ant and Dec (Television Presenters)
  • Sir Bobby Robson (former footballer, club and England manager)
  • Alan Shearer (footballer)
